Dear Wonderful Class of 2026 7th Grade Sudie Families,
We are thrilled to share some exciting news about our upcoming 8th Grade trip to Washington, D.C. in October 2025! This is an incredible opportunity for our students to learn about history, civics, and our nation's capital firsthand, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
To help make this trip as affordable as possible for all our students, we are kicking off a sponsorship fundraising initiative, and we need your enthusiastic support!
We are asking each Sudie Williams 7th grade family to reach out to at least five (5) businesses and ask for a donation to support our trip. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a real difference in the lives of our students. We strongly encourage you to participate and your Lion will receive 1 service hour upon completion of the 5 ‘asks’.
Here's why businesses will want to support our Lions:
- Tax Deductible Donations: All donations are fully tax deductible.
- Community Recognition: Donors will be recognized on our school's social media platforms, prominent signage displayed at school events, and in any printed materials related to the DC trip.
- Special Invitation: We will be hosting a thank you reception in the fall to express our sincere gratitude to all our generous sponsors.
To make this process as easy as possible, we have created a sponsorship letter that you can send to businesses. This letter outlines the details of our trip and the impact their contribution will have. We have also created a convenient online donation form with all the necessary information for businesses to make a contribution. Once you have sent the letter and donation link to five businesses, please take a moment to log who you contacted in our tracking form so we can avoid duplicate outreach.

To add a little extra fun and incentive, every Sudie Williams family that sends the sponsorship letter and donation link to at least five businesses will be entered into a raffle to win a signed Dallas Cowboys mini helmet from Cowboys Legend MICAH PARSONS!!
You will also notice that any donors that join us at a level of $10,000 will have the opportunity to have lunch with Dallas Cowboys Legend Charles Haley at The Star with themselves and three guests. This is a true once in a lifetime opportunity - and Charles has generously donated his time to support our cause. So if you know any Cowboys fans…..a great incentive for them to participate!
Furthermore, the Sudie Williams family whose outreach efforts result in the highest total amount of donations will win a signed Troy Aikman full size helmet! Let's see that Lion spirit shine!

Our initial fundraising push will continue through the end of the summer, but we would be incredibly grateful for any donations secured sooner rather than later.
